Annemiek is a physicist by training, now a permanent researcher at the laboratory Matière et Systèmes Complexes (MSC) in the Physics faculty of Université de Paris. Her area of interest is how physical forces drive morphogenesis, a.k.a. the development of the final shape of an organism. She uses the jellyfish Aurelia aurita as a new biological model to study the self-organized actions of mechanical stresses involved in vascular morphogenesis.
At CRI, she is part of the mentor team that teaches in AIV (LiSc) M2.
